Guru Nanak College Ferozepur Cantt. Was founded in 1971 by Guru Nanak Eductaional Society Ferozepur headed by Late S. Mohinder Singh Saiyanwala, Former Local Bodies Minister to commemorate the 501th Birth Celebrations of The Great Master, Saint and Society Reformer Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and to convey the young minds his message of Tolerance, Equality and Brotherhood.

I am proud to report that many benchmarks have been surpassed and new standards are seen in terms of both academic excellence and extra curricular activities achievements.

My thirty-seven years of service in Guru Nanak College Ferozepur in various capacities as Assistant prof and principal has seen the sapling grow into a grand old banyan tree. This sapling was planted by S. Mohinder Singh Saiyanwala, the then MF Govt of Punjab and was well nurtured by him and his visionary son S. Ratinder Singh Saiyanwala. The college has grown from a strength of mere 361 to 4000 under the dynamic leadership at S. Ratinder Singh Sayianwala and his Son Asispreet Singh.

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you all to another academic session which i earnestly hope would fulfill all your coveted dream and lofty aspiration.

The college aims at harmonious and all around development of all the students in fields of art, literarture, science, computer, sports youth and co-curricular activities to make them enlightened, responsible and useful citizens of the country capable of contributing effectively to the realization of national goals. The college provides a healthy and congenial atmosphere necessary for the aesthetic, physical and moral growth of the students and to inculcate among them love and respect for noble and moral values as preached by the Great Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji.
